About this role
About our Team:
We are a cross functional engineering group responsible for building, operating, and evolving the central CMS and digital experience infrastructure used by our marketing and brand teams globally. We sit at the intersection of engineering, marketing, and product, enabling fast, high quality digital experiences at scale.
Role Purpose:
We're consolidating our digital presence around AEMaaCS as our central CMS platform, integrating it with a surrounding MarTech and tooling ecosystem. This role exists to drive that platform forward, technically, operationally, and collaboratively. You'll work at the intersection of engineering rigour and business impact, partnering closely with marketing and brand teams while owning the platform end to end.
This ecosystem will keep changing as new MarTech tools are adopted and others retired, so part of the role is building working expertise in new tools quickly rather than relying on prior exposure to any specific one.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain AEMaaCS Sites and Forms components, templates, and workflows
Design and build integrations across an evolving MarTech stack (Adobe Analytics, Target, Launch, Siteimprove, MaxMind, reCAPTCHA, DebugBear, Sistrix and B2B Portals), making explicit tradeoffs about coupling, failure isolation, and maintainability as tools are added or replaced
Design and implement automated testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Manager / GitHub Actions)
Monitor platform health and lead incident response using observability tooling
Contribute to architecture decisions and enforce standards for security and cloud operability
Ensure compliance with GDPR, cookie consent, and bot protection requirements
Partner with marketing and brand teams to translate business needs into platform capabilities
Independently build working expertise in new MarTech and platform tools as the ecosystem evolves, without relying on existing in house familiarity
Serve as technical point of contact for SaaS vendors, managing renewals and SLAs
Your Skills:
Proven ability to independently build deep working knowledge of new platforms and tools, demonstrated by past experience ramping up quickly on unfamiliar technology
Strong content platform / CMS engineering background, including component architecture, templating systems, and content modeling. AEM/AEMaaCS experience strongly preferred and is a significant accelerant, but candidates with deep equivalent experience on another enterprise CMS, who can demonstrate they pick up new platforms quickly, will also be considered
Experience with structured forms engineering: adaptive or dynamic forms, form data models, and submission handling, on AEM Forms or a comparable enterprise forms platform
Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (Angular or React); willingness and ability to pick up AEM specific templating (HTL/Sightly) on the job
Backend: strong Java fundamentals, with the ability to learn OSGi and AEM's bundle/service model on the job if not already familiar
CI/CD and automated testing experience (Cloud Manager, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
Working knowledge of at least two Adobe tools: Analytics, Target, or Launch / Data Collection, with demonstrated ability to extend that knowledge to adjacent or unfamiliar Adobe and non Adobe tools as needed
Web security fundamentals: bot protection, GDPR/cookie compliance, secure integrations
Solid agile/scrum experience with end to end ownership of work items
Ideally, you also have:
Hands on AEMaaCS experience, including editable templates, content and experience fragments, and Cloud Manager pipelines
Prior hands on OSGi and AEM bundle development
Siteimprove, DebugBear, or similar accessibility and performance tooling — useful, but not a substitute for the ability to pick up new tools in this ecosystem quickly
SEO fundamentals and Sistrix experience — useful, but not a substitute for the ability to pick up new tools in this ecosystem quickly
Design system development or design token implementation
MaxMind GeoIP or similar geo targeting integrations — useful, but not a substitute for the ability to pick up new tools in this ecosystem quickly
Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) certification — useful, but not a substitute for the ability to pick up new tools in this ecosystem quickly
You will thrive here if you:
Enjoy technical depth alongside real business impact
Care about the author experience as much as code quality
Think in systems and adapt quickly as platforms evolve
Communicate clearly with non technical stakeholders
Are energised by close collaboration with ambitious marketing and creative teams
Are comfortable becoming proficient in unfamiliar tools as the MarTech ecosystem evolves, rather than waiting for deep documentation or training
What you can expect from us:
We want to provide you with everything you need to succeed. To do that, we offer a bunch of benefits (depending on the type of contract chosen).
Paid time off: Enjoy 30 paid days off per year.
Flexible benefits budget: Additional budget that can be used for both personal or professional development.
