Debezium Expert (Oracle CDC)

We are looking for an experienced Debezium expert to provide technical advice and architectural guidance on an existing CDC implementation. This role is suited for someone who can review a live setup, identify issues and improvement areas, and guide a team toward a stable and well-performing solution without taking on a hands-on development role.

About the Project:
A well-established European technology company uses Debezium to capture changes from an Oracle database and replicate them in real time to PostgreSQL. The implementation is operational but requires further stabilization and optimization. Due to the complexity of the Debezium configuration and the specifics of the Oracle Multi-Tenant (CDB/PDB) environment, the team needs a senior technical voice to review the current architecture and steer them toward best practices. The engagement is fully remote, conducted via Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing the current Debezium configuration and architecture;

• Advising on stabilizing and optimizing Debezium in an Oracle Multi-Tenant (CDB/PDB) environment;

• Recommending best practices for configuration, performance, reliability, and monitoring;

• Assisting in troubleshooting existing issues;

• Providing architectural guidance and technical recommendations to the project team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Debezium;

• Experience with Oracle and Oracle Multi-Tenant (CDB/PDB) environments;

• Experience with real-time replication toward PostgreSQL;

• Ability to analyze existing configurations and recommend improvements;

• Excellent communication skills in English.
